Description
Mothers & families across Africa lose newborns to improper maternal or infant care, ironically, in hospitals, the very health facilities they seek for help. In this radio play, Twali Banji narrates the tragic incidents that led to the loss of her premature newborns, exploring the psychological and emotional issues mothers struggle with thereafter. But that’s not all. Twali Banji is not just the story of one woman. It's also the story of many women from different walks of life, different backgrounds, different statuses, careers, and even nationalities. Women whose voices would otherwise never have been heard. If Twali Banji is left Untold, the cycle of maternal and infant / premature newborn mortality in healthcare facilities would repeat itself.
