Description

After falling out with her roommate during a countrywide lockdown caused by a deadly virus, a young woman, Kabibi, finds herself stranded at the bus stop with her belongings uncertain of where to go. Amidst the chaos of rising death tolls and ambulance/police sirens, Kabibi is forced into an emotional and psychological unraveling through her fractured childhood and past events that led to her present. As curfew approaches fast and taxis become scarce due to public transport restrictions, she tries reaching out to anyone who can help her get off the street. She calls her friends, her boyfriend, acquaintances but not her mother with whom she has a complicated relationship with. Kabibi comes brutally undone as she fights against time and herself. She comes to the eventual realization that, it is only by letting go of her baggage, literally and figuratively, that she can move forward and save herself.
